AlNowais is the Chairman of SENAAT, UAE’s largest industrial conglomerate, focusing on base metals (aluminum, steel and copper), chemical and other industrial sectors, National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), largest offshore EPC contractor for oil and gas, and Waha Capital, a publicly listed company with diversified investments.
AlNowais holds a number of board membership positions in publicly traded as well as private companies, across the region.
He is the Vice Chairman of Abraaj Capital, the largest private equity group in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA), with USD 7 B investments in emerging markets, Chairman of MENA Infrastructure Fund, a Middle Eastern fund investing in infrastructure, power, water, ports and airports, a board member of Rotana Hotels & Real Estate Investment, the premier regional investor in hospitality and hotel management, Chairman of Danway, a wholly owned subsidiary of AlNowais Investments, an industrial engineering and electro-mechanical contractor in the Gulf region focusing on infrastructure, power, water and oil and gas sectors, a board member and major shareholder in Archirodon, a large Middle Eastern infrastructure, power, water and oil and gas EPC contractor.
AlNowais received a Bachelors in Business Administration from Lewis and Clark College, USA and has completed Executive courses at INSEAD in Paris.

Head of MENA Project Development UnitFrank Donnachie has been involved in the power and desalination industry since 1979 with projects in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the U.A.E. of over 15,000MW and 1200 MIGD of IPPs, IWPPs and EPC projects.
In the course of his career Mr Donnachie has worked with several notable firms, including Electrobel, Deutsche Babcock, Fichtner Consulting Engineers and Oasis International Power.
He received his formal education and training in Mechanical Engineering in London with Constructors John Brown.

Executive Director in Project ManagementRamesh Bhargava specialises in the execution of major projects in Oil and Gas and the Fertilizer industry.
He has worked with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) for over thirty years prior to joining the AlNowais group.
He has been involved with the implementation of major projects right from concept through to the EPC and commissioning stages and has successfully managed the execution of projects with capital values in excess of US$30 Billion.
His areas of specialisation are Project Management and Project Control (Planning, Cost Control, Contract Management and Procurement Management). He is an Electrical Engineer by profession.
Director - Investments
Director - InvestmentsKassem Tawil holds an MBA in Business Management from Cornell University and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the American University in Beirut with vast experience in development, structuring and management oversight of direct investments at AlNowais Investments, particularly in manufacturing, building materials and real estate.
Prior to that, he held various roles at BASF North America, managing major capital investments and financial planning of several regional business units, corporate IT and logistics.
Tawil also has extensive project management experience in construction and fabrication industries in the GCC.
Nadine Debbas Achkar

Legal CounselNadine Debbas Achkar has nearly 20 years of professional experience in the United States, France and the Middle East, specialising in international commercial arbitration and project development.
She was previously the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC, since rebranded as SENAAT). Achkar holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law and earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Economics from Georgetown University.
She is a member of the New York Bar and speaks four languages fluently.

Director – Business DevelopmentHussein Matar joined AlNowais Investments in 2012, focused primarily on the Oil and Gas sector.
He has over 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry ranging from consulting, strategic planning and business development.
He worked for Deloitte in London for five years as an Oil and Gas consultant and then joined Hess in their strategic planning division before leaving for the UAE in 2007.
Just prior to joining AlNowais Investments, he worked for Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation.
He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and Masters in Energy Studies from Dundee University Scotland.

Director - Project DevelopmentFattah joined AlNowais Investments in 2012, primarily focusing on the Energy, Power and Infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining AlNowais Investments, Fattah worked at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and ALSTOM in Switzerland and for a time at Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation in the UAE.
In addition to his industrial and commercial experience, he is an experienced banker specialising in project finance, and was employed for a time at Mizuho Bank in London.
He holds an MBA, specialising in Corporate Finance, from the University of Edinburgh; an MSc in Energy from Cranfield University as well as a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of London.

He is primarily involved with Project Finance and Corporate Investments at AlNowais Investments.
Bohra is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a qualified Mechanical Engineer and has over 16 years of experience in project finance, private- public partnership (PPP), infrastructure advisory and corporate finance.
Prior to joining AlNowais Investments, Bohra led KPMG infrastructure advisory team in Abu Dhabi. In the course of his career Bohra has advised a number of leading private and public institutions, mainly in, power, oil and gas, public transport and real estate sectors.

Director - Corporate FinanceMohammed Shaikley is primarily focused on Project Finance and Strategic Investments at AlNowais Investments.
He has eleven years of experience in fund management, corporate finance and advisory services in the infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial, manufacturing and real estate sectors.
Shaikley was previously a founding member and Managing Director of Investbridge Capital, a Dubai-based private equity firm.
He has also advised a number of prominent governmental and quasi-governmental institutions on strategies and policies related to infrastructure development and PPPs.
He holds a Juris Doctorate in Law and a MBA from Chapman University and a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of California and has also recently completed an executive program in Infrastructure and Project Finance at Harvard University.

He holds a Bachelor of accounting and auditing from Cairo University, he is a US Certified Public Accountant “CPA”, as well as licensed from Colorado Board of Accountancy.
He has more than 13 years of professional experience at E&Y and PwC Cairo, he was managing a portfolio of multinational clients operating in different industries, such as Oil and Gas, Drilling, Constructions, Manufacturing, Trading, Telecommunication, Entertainment, Hotels, Services companies, USAID and Sarbanes Oxley Act “SOX” engagements.

Head of Corporate CommunicationsAfaf Jbara has over 12 years of international experience in Marketing Communications. Before joining AlNowais Investments, she was responsible for Corporate Communications of Emirates NBD, a leading bank in UAE, and previously was responsible for Investors Relations at Abraaj Capital, a leading private equity firm in Dubai. Within the same organization she managed the corporate communications and media relations.
Afaf worked across many sectors: finance, banking, healthcare, energy, technology and Media. She began her career as an engineer. As a certified project manager she led the rebranding of Sharjah Islamic Bank and managed its marketing and advertising. She was part of Dubai Holding team to create its then-new brand via the Arabian Radio Network and Dubai TV where she was involved in the launch of radio stations, communications and production.
Afaf is a graduate of the American University in Dubai with an MBA in International Marketing/Finance. She holds an engineering bachelor, Summa Cum Laude, from AUI. Recently, She earned an executive education certificate from Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania.
